Kang-Woo Lee

Kang-Woo Lee, a veteran of the South Korean government, retired from the Ministry of Unification in 2020 after 29 years of service. During his tenure, he held various positions aimed at boosting inter-Korean economic cooperation. In 2013, he was appointed to lead the DMZ World Peace Park Promotion Team. From 2014 to 2017, as the head of policy planning for the Inter-Korean Cooperation District Development Team, he was responsible for the development of the Gaeseong Industrial Complex.
Subsequently, he served as the director general of the Inter-Korean Transit Office from 2018 to 2020. Currently, he holds positions as a research fellow at the Institute for Korean Integration of Society and a professor for policy guidance at the National Public Officials Human Resource Development Institute.
