Hye-kyung Cheong

With a career spanning over 30 years at the Korea Tourism Organization since 1989, Hye-kyung Cheong has held various influential positions, including ones in the Tourism Industry Office, Tourism Welfare Center, Tourism Contents Office, and Tourism Human Resources Development Office. In these roles, Ms Cheong played a pivotal part in developing Korea's tourism industry by promoting and marketing tourism, supporting the production and translation of multilingual promotional materials, and creating new jobs within the tourism sector.

She currently serves as an external relations officer for the organization and as an advisor to the Board of the Contest Tourism Projects for the City of Jecheon, where she works to promote local and national tourism.

Ms. Cheong holds a B.A. from Yonsei University and has completed master's degrees in Tourism from the Hanyang University Graduate School of International Tourism and in Business Administration from the Seoul National University Graduate School of Business.
