Daniel Pinkston

Daniel A. Pinkston is based in Seoul as a full-time lecturer in international relations with Troy University. Previously, Dr. Pinkston was the Northeast Asia Deputy Project Director for the International Crisis Group in Seoul, and the director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies.

Dr. Pinkston received his Ph. D. in international affairs from the University of California, San Diego, and he has a master’s degree in Korean studies from Yonsei University. He is the author of The North Korean Ballistic Missile Program, and he has published several scholarly articles on North Korean WMD and Korean security affairs. He also served as a Korean linguist in the U.S. Air Force.
